ChatGPT in Class

Today the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in education is inevitable. One of the types
of UI is ChatGPT, which is a very useful tool both in schools for nurses and in their future
work, because many clinical hospital centers use ChatGPT to improve the efficiency and quality
of healthcare services.

The paper presents the previous activities of the Vinogradska Nursing School librarian, carried
out as part of information-educational workshops on media literacy with the aim of introducing
students to artificial intelligence, especially the possibilities offered by ChatGPT in education
and nursing care.

Some examples of the students' previous work with the librarian related to the daily use of
ChatGPT in the classroom are presented (examination preparation, learning support, help with
research work on projects, learning through simulations, personalized learning, teaching about
the ethics of using UI in medicine, etc.) or in the future workplace (information about medical
protocols, drugs or diagnostic criteria, best medical practice, guidelines or ethical issues in
healthcare, communication with patients, preparation of medical documentation, support for
writing professional papers, virtual conversations of emotional support for patients or
answering frequently asked questions, explaining medical procedures or providing information
about post-discharge care and the like, helping with logistics within the hospital, such as
scheduling appointments, time management or optimizing schedules, etc.).
