               Information and Communication Technology in the

               Service of Education in Vrapče Nursing School

               Modern  teaching  methods  allow  students  to  actively  participate  in  classes  and  encourage
               students' initiative, research and creativity. In the process of active learning, the student solves
               tasks, thinks about what he has read and tries to acquire the necessary abilities to apply the
               learned material. Information and communication technologies are the basis of creative and
               effective  use  of  knowledge.  Learning  styles  are  changing  rapidly,  and  information  and
               communication technologies have become the basis of lifelong learning.
               Information and communication technologies  are the basis of creative and effective use of
               knowledge. The intelligent use of knowledge and information is becoming a key factor in the
               new  economy,  and  instead  of  the  information  society,  the  name  knowledge  society  is
               increasingly being used. An important component of the information society and knowledge
               society is the use of information and communication technologies in education.
               The  aim  of  this  paper  is  to  investigate  the  attitudes  of  students  about  information  and
               communication technology at Vrapče. Nursing School heir relationship with technology and
               their desire to use it in the teaching process will also be examined. Through the conducted
               research,  we  want  to  come  to  the  conclusion  whether  there  is  a  need  to  increase  student
               satisfaction with teaching in a modern technological environment, whether there is a need to
               allocate additional funds for the purchase of IT equipment, continuous education of teaching
               staff for the application of modern technology in the educational process, and the additional
               introduction of information and communication technology in classes.
                     The results of the research showed that more than half of the respondents believe that
               teaching only partially meets their IT needs and development, and accordingly over 60% of
               students would like technology to be used even more in teaching. Also, the majority of students
               are  moderately  satisfied  with  the  IT  literacy  of  teachers,  and  on  the  scale  of  frequency  of
               technology use in school, computers are most often used, followed by smart boards.
