               Study of the School Climate in Vrapče Nursing School



               School climate is a relatively permanent quality of the school environment that influences the
               behavior of its members, based on a shared perception of behavior within the school. Thus, the
               impact of school climate is reflected in various aspects of school life. It is associated with better
               academic performance, fewer behavioral and emotional problems among students, higher job
               satisfaction among school staff, lower levels of teacher stress, and reduced burnout. Conversely,
               a negative school  climate is linked to increased teacher stress, a lack of social support for
               teachers,  and  higher  levels  of  violence  and  victimization. This  phenomenon  has  been  less
               explored in Croatian schools, and the goal of this research was to determine the level of school
               climate at the Vrapče Nursing School
               The  study  involved  35  teacher  participants  from  the  School  who  completed  the  "Croatian
               School Climate Questionnaire for Teachers" (HUŠK-N) during April 2024. The collected data
               were processed using descriptive and inferential statistics methods. The questionnaire showed
               a high level of reliability (α = 0.859).
               The results confirmed the hypothesis that most teachers perceive the school climate positively,
               as  the average score on the scale  was  3.50 ±0.45 (range 1  - 5). There  was  no statistically
               significant difference between vocational and general education teachers (t=-0.0839, p=0.934)
               in the assessment of school climate. No statistically significant correlation was found between
               the estimated school climate and the length of work experience (r=.08).
               The positively assessed school climate at the Vrapče Nursing School  shows potential that can
               impact the school environment and contribute to the development of strategies that could more
               involve parents and create a more inclusive and safer learning environment. Therefore, further
               continuous monitoring and improvement of the school climate are necessary.
