LO: Identify, describe and sort 2D and 3D shapes by their properties, including reference to the
number of faces, edges and whether faces are flat or curved.
Students were taught about the concepts of Shapes. They understood the concept and
demonstrated the same in the class by working these activities practically; they were also able to
identify the objects in daily routine life.
Social
LO: What is family and learners will learn about different types of families.
Learners were able to differentiate small and large families. Children learnt that they have to love
and help their family members. They prepared some family collage and family trees.
Science
LO: Identify different sources of sound.
To introduce this concept to students we have discussed the importance of a sound in a class. We
talked about the recognition of sounds coming from different objects. The learners were asked
what it would be like if they hear sound coming from metal objects, wood, plastic objects etc.
Learners were explained that sound has different frequencies. Learners were encouraged to
demonstrate and identify different sounds originating from different objects. They were happy to
participate and enjoyed these activities.
Hindi
An interesting activity was done in Grade -1 where the Learners sculpted Hindi letters and words
out of clay. The amount of fun and enthusiasm they had were really beyond explanation.
French
LO: To learn the vocabulary related to Toys in French.
As a part of the learning, Grade 1 learners complete an online quiz based on the Lesson: Les
