        Pie Day


































        Cambridge International, Delhi Public School, Nacharam observes math week starting from 22nd
        July  pi  approximation  day  and  closes  with  a  grand  assembly  on  29th  July.    The  assembly

        highlighted the infinite possibilities, blessings and opportunities each one has in life.
        The assembly opened with a beautiful lighting of the lamp ceremony with a PI rangoli made by

        Krishna Tapaswini of Grade 5.
        The anchors for the day, Rahul from grade 5, and Nishant from grade 6 held the fort well and
        walked the audience through the program with their informed views and also entertained with PI

        pun.
        The word of the day was Homophone-pi and pie explained by Joanne from grade 5. This was
        followed by a beautiful explanation on the katapayadi system of writing Sanskrit verses based on
        the  pi  value  by  Ms  Tanirika  from  grade  10.  The  contribution  of  Indian  Vedas  and  Indian

        mathematicians to the field of math is well appreciated by the young learners.
        Akshay  of  grade  8  took  us  on  a  beautiful  voyage  of  the  infinite  life  of  pi,  followed  by  the
        showcasing of the activities done by learners during the week.These included mask making, pi
        poem recitation, pi cards, pi city , pi art , pi thread weaving, pi puzzles, piku, pi sudoku . It was a
        panorama of activities depicted through a video gallery.
        Karishma of grade 6 stole the limelight by her beautiful and informative pihunt activity.
        Last but not the least, due to the online media Ms Hima showcased a few memes for PI -day.
        The assembly witnessed a huge gathering and was appreciated by everyone because of its holistic
        composition.
