Students were taught about the concepts of Ordinal numbers. They understood the concept and
have demonstrated the same in the class by working these activities practically.
Science
LO: Identify living things and things that have never been alive.
Know that plants need light and water to survive.
This month's focus was to explain the concept of living and non-living things to the students.
They were provided with flashcards displaying various images and were asked to identify living
and non-living objects accordingly. They understood that plants need light and water to survive.
Students were actively engaged and this helped them to learn and understand the concept easily.
Grade 2
English Math Science
English
LO: “OU” and “OW” words---- reading and writing
Learners were asked to read and write the “ou” and “ow” words and a small familiar story was
given in the learning resources(video) to make them understand the concept. Each and every
learner was given a chance to read out the words with phonic language and made them to write.
Grade 2 started practicing cursive handwriting every day at least one page to improve and
inculcate writing skills among the learners.
Math
LO: Odd and even numbers
The facilitator explained the difference between what is an odd number and even number with
the help of the PPT presentation and later played a video on the same. Later, the learners were
asked to draw two circles in the math notebook and name it as even and odd respectively. Learners
were given varied numbers to identify and write it in the circles accordingly.
