LO: To identify and employ figurative language in a text.
The month helped the learners to brush up their understanding of Figurative language and how
they are employed in different texts. Topics discussed under this banner include metaphor,
oxymoron, simile to name a few. Diagnostic Assessment (DA-1) which followed up towards the
end of the month ensured that the students got a chance to put their knowledge to test. The
assigned Holiday Homework, which is comprehensive of the learning that took place, would
further ensure that the learners are able to have a good command over the concepts delivered.

LO: Poem recitation
The learners recited a poem with the correct pronunciation and rhythm. By this, they learnt the
manner of reciting a poem with proper rise and fall of voice wherever necessary to bring out the
beauty of a poem.
Science
LO: Parts of the plants, flower and germination of seeds
The learners were able to identify the parts of the plant and were able to explain its functions.
They were able to label the parts of the flower and explain the function of each part. The video
was shown to understand about the functions of different parts of the plant and flower.
Differentiated worksheet was given to the students for measuring their understanding level.

Cambridge is always known for its tradition of taking it to the next level and another example of
this tradition has been set by the grade 6 learners as they took Cambridge Primary Checkpoint
Assessment. However, the learners were back to the learning tracks as soon as they finished with
Checkpoint Assessment. With brand new feathers in their wings the learners learnt to look at the
