There are so many steps to follow and to keep in mind when doing a set of lash
extensions - all of which can be a little daunting.
Creating a 'framework' first will act as a safety net when it comes to your lash
length and styling used, as well as your overall symmetry. Building on your
framework will also help to keep your set balanced in terms of coverage, just in
case you run out time. As you become more confident in your skills you can find
and follow your own custom application order.
Framework is done once you have determined your styling and mapping. This is
the most important step in ensuring symmetry of the eyes. Take your time when
setting your framework and adjust if needed.
STEP BY STEP FRAMEWORK
We recommend starting with inner and outer corner and bouncing back and
forth between those two sections. The inner and outer corners are the more
difficult sections, and you will naturally move through them slower. Once you
have completed about 75% fullness in these sections, we recommend filling the
middle section to 75% fullness as well. After both eyes are 75% full, then you will
bounce back and forth between the two eyes evenly until all eligible lashes have
been filled.
Examples:
Apply one 7mm extension to the left eye: apply one 7mm extension to the
right eye.
Apply one 8mm extension to the left eye: apply one 8mm extension to the
right eye
Apply one 9mm extension to the left eye: apply one 9mm extension to the
right eye
Continue this process until you have set your entire frame and there are no more natural
lashes left or when you have created desired balance.
CREATING BALANCE
Not all areas within the lash line have the same number of natural lashes and they are also
not dispersed evenly. It is very important to create balance in any volume set to avoid
certain sections in the lash line from looking too dense when compared to other sections.
This is also important to keep in mind when lashing both eyes as there will always be an eye
that has more natural lashes than the other.
