REMOVING EYELASHES: WHAT, WHY AND HOW?
Yes, ladies, the sad truth is that we must remove those fabulous lashes for the following
reasons:
Firstly, the most important is if your client has an allergic reaction to the eyelash
extensions glue. Yes, it can happen at any point even after a successful patch test.
If your client would like to take a break from the lashes. I mean, let's be honest, most
of us never want to have a break from those beauties, do we?
If your client has seen a different curl from your portfolio and she would like to try it
(i.e., M or L curl)
Or if your client would like to go back to natural and have a go with Lash Filler/Lift.
Maybe your client needs to have eye surgery - then you must remove the lashes.
When someone decides to have a PMU tattoo eyeliner, its essential to
remove the lashes before.
One of the most common is also if you have a new client that has come with lashes
from another artist.
This should be first knowledge for us all, but we should never work on top of other
cosmetologists’ lashes!
: which one should you choose?
Our personal choice is the cream because it’s easy to work with and shouldn't cause any
irritation while removing the lashes. We only use the peel technique when the client
comes back for infills and we just need to take off a few overgrown lashes. When we do
the full set removal with the cream, we always make sure that we place a gel eye patch
underneath each eye because the cream removal is a stronger chemical and it’s better
to be safe than sorry always protect the client.
The removal cream should never touch any skin on the client. It will not feel nice and can
cause a tingling sensation. In some cases, if the client has sensitive skin, it can cause
some mild redness.
