Vishwamanava is a big leap from Aadimanava!!

Vishwamanava, according to our Rashtrakavi Kuvempu is described in his poem,
‘Aniketana’ wherein he calls out to people not to restrict themselves by region or
              religion.

Globalization, as we see has influenced many aspects of life from economic to cultural
and technological. But, I think what is far more useful is to highlight the relationship
between globalization and modernity. In much of this discussion what we are really
talking about is the spread of modernity, for it is modernity which is the powerful force
reshaping our world. In a very real way globalization is merely the connectivity that is
              allowing modernity to spread.

Modernity itself has different factors, each of which is very powerful and influential, but
together constitute an unstoppable force. All the factors are interrelated and reinforce
each other. These factors in no particular order are democracy, secularism, capitalism,
science and emancipation. Democracy is the transfer of political power from one governing
party to another by the electoral decision making of a nation’s citizens. Secularism is not
atheism but merely the removal of the hand of religious authority from the instruments
of state power. Secular states treat all religions equally thereby allowing true religious
freedom. Capitalism, or more correctly, free market economics, refers to the right of
individuals to engage in competitive business enterprise by themselves or in partnership
with others without government interference or hindrance. Science relates not only to
the scientific method that leads to a rational understanding of the universe and our
place in it, but also to the technology that flows from that understanding. Emancipation
