Recently, in recognition of Sri G. Rame Gowda’s selfless, dedicated, humanitarian
services rendered for the people of Karnataka, Adichunchanagiri Mutt published a
Book called “Bachalliya Belaku”, a biography written by Sri. M.G. Chandrashekaraiah.
He is one among the 25 eminent personalities to have been recognized as “Vokkaligara
Sadhakaru”.

In 1966, Sri. G. Ramegowda donated money for the construction of Vokkaligara Sangha
at Doddaballapur and for the Vokkaligara Kalyana Mantapa at Doddaballapur. He even
worked towards the development of Ghati Subramanya Temple, Bengaluru District.
Most of his service is unknown since it was a while ago, but I always feel happy when
somebody asks me whose family I belong to and I say, ‘RameGowdru mane’ and they
say, “Ohoho, Rame Gowdrumanena?”

Again the generation who can recall Sri G.Rame Gowda is slowly vanishing and
the younger generation knows less about him, but his honest service will always be
remembered!
