Comment James has produced varied responses to the exam questions this
year. Although determined to do well, James needs to ensure he
spends time learning the exam structures. In his recent Germany
assessment, James scored 2/4, 7/12, 2/8, 4/4, 1/4 and 5/16. This
gave him a total of 21/48 which is the equivalent of a Level 4. James
now needs to ensure he is revising each topic thoroughly on a weekly
basis.
Target(s) James to progress I would suggest:
1. Continue reading and revising on a frequent basis
2. Keep practising your exam responses
3. Ensure you learn plenty of statistics and key terminology

Exam Grade 5
Comment It was pleasing to see James grow in confidence in the subject and
make more contributions to class discussions. He should hone on his
note-taking skills as it will prove invaluable when revising for an
assessment. In the summer assessment, James did well in the
following topics: averages (mean); three-part ratio problem; probability
(with and without replacement); proving the result of adding fractions
and expanding single brackets.
Target(s) In preparation for September, review all your notes two weeks before
the start of Year 11, especially: re-arranging formulae; solving
equations with algebraic fractions; solving quadratic equations using
the quadratic formula; sum of an arithmetic series; solving
simultaneous equations; expanding triple brackets; solving quadratic
equations; double inequalities; probability from tree diagrams; similar
shapes; inverse proportionality.
