Comment James is keen to do well and has made good progress this year. His
lack of confidence has held him back at times, but when he has fully
applied himself, he has shown a competent level of understanding
and ability. A move to dual award will definitely help, and he should
see this as an opportunity to reach the higher grades. The work will
not become easier, but he should be able to through all areas
following advice and practicing questions on his way towards at least
a 6 by the mock.
Target(s) Use resources such as textbook, Seneca learning, Educake,
Crashcourse to practise questions on and review understanding
particularly on any highlighted area of weakness from test review
sheets so progress can be made. Ensure all in lesson learning is
backed up with independent lesson reviews. Ensure all work is
completed on time and to the required level.

Exam Grade 7
Comment James should be very pleased with his end of year exam result in RS
GCSE. The latter half of the year revealed a renewed vigour and
determination in James, which has resulted in great progress. James'
12 mark essays have improved most significantly, as James is
beginning to appreciate how to formulate detailed chains of reasoning.
James must continue to push himself and expand his knowledge as
much as possible through utilising all resources available to him. He
really understands the value of learning quotations; keep this up! Well
done.
Target(s) Theme A was the area in which James performed least well in the end
of year exam - carefully consolidate learning on this topic. Keep up to
date with the news, as religious issues on Theme A come up almost
daily. Continue with your regime of flash-cards and revising
quotations. Remain fully engaged in lessons and ensure your notes
are detailed and well-organised. For the final marks in 12 markers,
make sure you develop full chains of reasoning, provide a real-world
context and link back to the question.
