                   Like much of what we found in our research, the
                   key elements of greatness are deceptively simple and
                   straightforward. The good to great leaders were able to
                   strip away so much noise and clutter and just focus on
                   the few things that would make the greatest impact.

               The first question to ask yourself is whether you will
               build a personal lines focused agency, a commercial lines
               focused agency, or a blend of both. Certainly, your per-
               sonal experience will dictate the answer to this question,
               at least initially. It’s obviously unrealistic to think about
               beginning your agency as a commercial lines business
               if you have never written commercial insurance before.
