Mariella Camilleri BPW MALTA

When Jo Kinsey, President BPW UK Federation, and
I met in Reykjavik last year, she mentioned to me that she
was organizing a conference in 2023. She was so enthusi-
astic about what she was planning yet she didn’t really di-
                                       vulge anything.

Later in the year I received a message from Jo asking me if I wanted some
time during the conference to introduce to all those present that Malta would be
hosting the18th Regional Conference. Of course, I said yes. At the same time,
I was also intrigued by what to expect and where it was being held.

Another member of the board, Ms Tania Mercieca came with me. I think I can
speak for both of us and say it was a ‘heck of an experience’ and an adventure.

We loved every minute of it. Had some exciting trips to other historical venues,
mainly to Stormont House where we also got to be part of the Public Speaking
Competition and then the Dinner at the Belfast Harbour Commissioners, Harbour
Office. Both beautiful and majestic buildings full of history.

The conference did not disappoint, all the speakers presented interesting topics
which spearheaded conversations and provoked much discussion and questions
         from the delegates.

During the conference we also launched the new BPW Europe
Merchandise. A wonderful 100% silk scarf with a design that depicts
BPW’s representation of inclusion of all
women from all around and a matching
pin. Here you see the European Co-
Ordinator, Anu Vicks sporting the scarf as well as the
BPW Europe matching pin. The pins were already being
sold in Belfast. While we have already started to take
pre-orders for the scarves, the actual scarves will be
delivered during the upcoming President’s meeting in
Brussels. (Everyone should be pre-ordering theirs to-
day as the first run has limited quantities available).
Prices are €40 for the beautiful scarf designed by BPW
Spain member Begona Esteban, and €10 for the pin.
Each BPW European President can collect the orders for
members not attending the European F2F meeting in
         Brussels. Anu Vicks, European Co-Ordinator
& Mariella Camilleri President BPW Malta
