Downtown Sacramento BPW

                                                  Fall Report – 2024-2025

               Downtown Sacramento will proudly be celebrating 105 years advocating for the working women
               of the Greater Sacramento Area.













                                      Saturday October 19, 2024 –11:00a-2:00p

               We are pleased to welcome four new members:
               Marjorie Beazer, CEO H.O.P.E Consulting, Marty Maskall (Returning Member), Jackie Propst
               (Returning Member), Melissa Washington, CEO/Founder Women Veterans Alliance.  Melissa
               will be a speaker at Fall Board in Burbank.

               The club recently contributed $250 to a Forklift Operator Certification Program administered by
               the Health Education Council.  Their program provides well-paying occupational training for the
               region’s underserved women.

               Although the Twinning Project with St. Andrew (Jamaica) is in a holding pattern we are still in
               communication and collaborate when we can.  Their recent focus has been on the June
               celebration of their 50  BPW year. Downtown Sacramento sent greetings and support with the

               Our members serve at all levels of BPW.  Sher Singh is Arts & Culture Chair for BPW-I, DEI
               Chair for NFBPWC, President-elect for CFBPW and Membership Chair for the club.  Bessie
               Hironimus is Immediate Past Executive Secretary for BPW-I, Constitutional Advisor for the
               N/A-Caribbean Region and a Past State President (PSP) for CFBPW, President BPW California
               North District.  Barbara J Davis is Lifelong Leadership & Learning Chair for CFBPW, Secretary
               for the CFBPW Education Fund, and a PSP.  Janet Ramsey is a CFBPW PSP and current club
               Treasurer.  Elaine Sierra serves on the CFBPW Bill Screening Committee and is the District and
               Club Public Policy Chair.  Sondra Nunes is the immediate past NFBPW Secretary.  In addition to
               serving as Club President, I am Secretary for CFBPW and BPW California North District,
               Member Records and Meetings Coordinator for CFBPW.

               We continue to deliver on our Mission, Purpose and Vision:
               The club’s Mission is to promote and support equity for working women in all phases of their
               lives and to promote personal empowerment and professional development.  Our Purpose is to
               provide opportunities for members to experience personal, professional, and political growth
