• Traditional media. Contact public personas and influencers personally and
ask them to join the pledging initiative as well as spread the word to their
networks.
• Music? A special chant was created and released on Earth Day 2021,
which can be shared on social media and other channels: “I am the Earth”
Chant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bx3Oo9CYZk. BPW Clubs are
free to use the chant for the Earth Day campaign and the broader “Green
and Sustainable” initiative with no copyright concerns, but please do refer-
ence the authors (Birgid Täht, Marii Väljataga) and performers (Kadi
Toom, Marii Val, Helen Kübar) of the piece. An MP3 or WAV file can be ob-
tained from BPW Estonia (marii.valjataga@eui.eu) and directed to any chan-
nels (e.g. radio stations) you see fit.
EARTH DAY EVENT
On 22 April 2023, there will be a special Earth Day pledging event in Estonia, outside
in the apple tree garden, showcasing pledges by female entrepreneurs in Estonia
and abroad. There will be artistic acts inspired by nature and the Earth Day initia-
tive, such as dances, storytelling and BPW’s chant “I am the Earth” in a new ar-
rangement in several languages, featuring a choir of women of different ages. We
invite you to promote the viewing of the live stream in your areas, clubs and nation-
ally.
BPW groups and members will video their country initiative, where possible, and
send recorded videos of pledges and events, such as tree planting or litter picks and
share them with the Estonia team in preparation for the Earth Day event – that way
they can feature in the live stream!
