For 2023/2024 we have already sent out invitations to compete asking for in-
dications of interest and for the first time have included Girlguiding and Scouts to
embrace the ‘Youth Organisation’ element in the title of the competition. We haven’t
had a response yet so the next action will be a follow-up telephone call to see if this
is something of interest. There may well be young people in these organisations who
have not been encouraged to take part in ‘public speaking’ during school time.

In summary, BPW UK has been encouraging entry into its Public Speaking
Competition for many years, so please help us to ensure that the competition en-
dures for many more giving our young people the opportunity to gain valuable life
skills.
