LOCKDOWN
LOCKDOWN
ow in this situation we are very familiar with the term “Lockdown”. This lockdown had started to stop the
spreading of coronavirus. This lockdown has changed our life. We have learnt many things from lockdown. I
Nwant to share what I have learnt and am still learning from lockdown. The fi rst thing which I have learnt is to
give time to my family, especially to my grandparents who are always in the house and every minute is a lockdown for
them. As my parents are working, they also do not have time to sit and spend quality time with my grandparents, but
during the lockdown they have also been spending time with their loved ones. I have also learnt that life without street
food, restaurants, shopping malls, cinema halls etc is very much possible and enjoyable. Earlier I couldn’t imagine life
without all these things but now I realize that they are quite unnecessary. Now birds and animals are living freely in
the environment and nature is also regaining its beauty by removing the cloak of pollution away from its body. How-
ever, not everything about this lockdown is good. It has taken a heavy toll on the economic condition of our country.
There are many people who have become jobless and have been subjected to poor living conditions. The cost of goods
has increased much due to a decrease in their production. Another impact of it is that we cannot meet our loved ones
physically. People are also suffering from anxiety, depression and other mental ailments being locked at home. So, it is
a tough time for everyone. Adverse situations teach us lessons, so, we should not forget the lessons we learnt from this
lockdown. I believe one day we will surely overcome this situation for every dark cloud has a silver lining.
