Most law firms representing Trump in his quest to challenge election counts in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Arizona and Georgia have quit. Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, representing Trump in Pennsylvania, notified him yesterday that they were “finished.”
While the Trump campaign announced that it was “in the process
of retaining” other attorneys, four law firms representing Trump in Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan and Arizona resigned this morning because “they got tired of losing longstanding clients,” according to several reliable informants.
To date, the courts have uniformly ruled against the soon-to-be ex-president, most recently in Michigan where a judge rejected a GOP demand to delay certification of the vote count in Detroit, claiming that thousands of “uncounted Trump ballots were found in a suburban landfill.” Investigators sent to the landfill found no ballots – actually, no paper of any kind because the site was restricted to construction and demolition waste. The manager of the landfill said that no one outside a small, licensed staff was allowed to enter the site, which is impenetrable behind a 25-foot-high electric fence.
Michigan is not alone in being accused of burying uncounted Trump ballots in landfills. Georgia was the first state accused by QAnon conspirator and newly-elected GA House of Representatives member, Marjorie Taylor Greene.
