Ex-president Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Ghouliani made his first appearance before a Pennsylvania federal judge on his client’s behalf today, arguing that “widespread nationwide voter fraud” rigged the election in Biden’s favor. He referred to election board employees
as “little mafia,” while a lawyer for the Allegheny County Board of Elections accused Mr. Ghouliani of living in a “fantasy world” and making “disgraceful” allegations.
Ghouliani argued that there was a giant conspiracy behind Biden’s victory even though there were no allegations in the lawsuit. Nor was there a scintilla of evidence that anything untoward had occurred. Undeterred, Rudy shouted that the offending cities were “controlled by Democratic machines,” and sneering at the judge, yelled, “You’d have to be a fool to think this is an accident. The Trump campaign has been treated totally differently than the Bush campaign.” The judge covered his eyes. A ruling is expected in the next few days.
In the meantime, Trump is faring poorly in court, having had 100% of his lawsuits rejected in states across the country. Trump unleashed his bulldog Rudy Ghouliani as a last resort, tweeting on Saturday, “I look forward to Mayor Jeweliani spearheading the legal effort to defend OUR RIGHT to FREE and FARE ELECTIONS!” He went on to name a team that included four other “wonderful” lawyers who have trafficked in false claims and conspiracy theories, making them heroes in right-wing circles.
