In a hastily called press briefing this morning, President Trump announced that his 2020 reelection campaign would have the best slogan of “any president that’s ever been in office.” Reportedly, he came up with it while aboard Marine One from the White House to the Capitol a few days ago.
“There I was, looking out the window and these words just started popping out of my head. Stephen Miller read my mind because I heard a pen click, turned around and saw him writing my incredible words on his wrist.”
“Mr. President, Major Garrett here from CBS News, can you share your slogan with the American people?”
“Of course, mister low-ranking major,” the president responded.
“We hit a hole-in-one with MAGA. It’s short, it has a tremendous ring to it, it looks like a million bucks on TV, and it’s the greatest campaign slogan of all time from Trump, the greatest president of all time.”
“Mr. President, you just described a very high bar. How can you beat it?” Mr. Garrett followed up.
“Believe me, major, I can beat anyone, including you, if I wanted to be poor and write fake news,” the president continued.
“Mr. President, ahem...”
