Dr. Nasreddine acknowledged the possibility that Mr. Trump may, in the president’s words, be “cognitively there” but stressed that it is equally important for the president to be “cognitively here.” “If the president is not cognitively here, he could be on another planet, somewhere in an imaginary world, or simply unreachable in the real world. I don’t believe our country can afford to take that risk, so daily MoCA testing is vital in Mr. Trump’s case,” Dr. Nasreddine concluded.
