At one point, he looked at Chris Wallace and said, “Well, I guess I’m debating you, not him, but that’s okay. Let me tell you something. Trump is the best debater ever born.”
In the end, 90 minutes felt like nine hours to this observer. Chris Wallace appeared exhausted when he concluded, “President Trump, Vice President Biden, it’s been a grueling hour and a half. I want to admonish you in particular, Mr. President, for refusing to abide by the debate rules that your campaign agreed to, and were set by the Commission on Presidential Debates. I want to extend my apologies and thanks to Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic for agreeing to host this bizarre event...”
“The next so-called debate, sponsored by Black Lives Matter, will be one week from tomorrow, October 7th, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. The two vice presidential nominees, Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris will face off at 8:00pm ET. Until then, never again. Wear a mask and good night.”
