BREAKING NEWS – CORRECTION
An earlier version of this story on October 2 incorrectly identified the ingredients of the “antibody cocktail” administered to president Trump to treat Covid-45. Biotechnology company Regeneron clarified this morning that the cocktail he downed last week, aided by Coke, was developed using a cell line derived from aborted fetal tissue.
Upon release from Walter Reed, the president boasted of his confidence in the curative qualities of the cocktail, saying, “I caught it, I heard about this drug...and it was incredible the way it worked.” He went on to call the virus “a blessing from God,” a curious comment in light of
his vehement opposition to abortion, at least currently. Previously,
Mr. Trump was staunchly pro-choice. In a 1999 Meet The Press interview, he declared, “ I am very pro-choice ...I just believe in choice in every respect...no, I would not outlaw abortion.”
When asked to explain the president’s contradictory positions, Kayleigh McEnemy emailed this response: “President Trump defends the right
of almost every child, born and unborn, to fulfill their God-given potential. He is powered by prayer and motivated by pure, selfish
love. Every child is a tremendous gift from God, except children who are crossing our southern border in droves. Sadly, their parents are associated with criminal gangs, drug cartels and rapists – Godless people and their offspring for whom there can be no forgiveness, no compassion, no accommodation and no exception.
