CHAPTER 4 IDEATION
Brainstorming
Such process led to converge the thinking process in a broader way by getting feedback from other persons. Blue-sky thinking was used first to
suggest ideas whilst disregarding if they are practical or not, excluding all assumptions and limitations. This is where innovative and new ideas could
help to revolutionise an interaction problem rather than just focusing on refining or improving it. The problem overview (title) for brainstorming was
re-framed into a more general and broad statement. A legend was used to categorise and further analyse which ideas put by other persons will be
considered for future purposes. Furthermore, another exercise consisted of dividing the idea generation into three categories. Then using the
‘S.C.A.M.P.E.R.’ thinking technique, the ideas were further altered and narrowed down.
