Core Design Principles
Nostalgic but Modern:
Combines 70s/80s retro charm with present-day simplicity
Instant Experience: Approachability:
- Fast - Friendly
- Intuitive - Clear
Polaroid cameras use a simple, geometric form language
built around boxy shapes with soft, rounded edges. Their
design highlights clear front-facing surfaces that separate
the lens, flash, and film slot, making the camera easy to
understand at a glance.
Polaroid’s visual language is clean, bold, and
instantly recognisable, using simple layouts,
strong black-and-white contrasts, and bright
rainbow accents. Square and rectangular
shapes echo the instant-film format, while
minimal icons, clear graphics, and generous
negative space create an approachable, playful
aesthetic.
