Plant trees for a Better Environment

The Enhance Our Environment Initiative participated in two tree planting activities during the Fall season,
led by Soror Elica Moss, Lead of the Tree Planting Area of Focus. From October 16th “ 31st, Epsilon
Gamma Omega (EGO) Sorors participated in the BMW's Trees for Electrified Test Drive campaign. For
every completed test drive of one of BMW's electric vehicles, BMW of North America donated 25 trees to
Scenic America's Reforestation Program. EGO Sorors donated 50 trees to this environment campaign. On
November 2nd, the Enhance Our Environment Initiative participated in the City of Huntsville Mayor's Tree
Planting Day at Brahan Spring Park. This was a collaboration with EGO's Debutante Community Service
Committee, the Gamma Mu Chapter, and Alabama A&M University's Environmental Science Club. We
planted at least 90 of the 300 trees that were available for this event. This was a great event to highlight the
importance and impact of tree planting to our environment. A huge thank you to all of the collaborations
that made this event a success!
