“And the Award Goes To…”
Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter - again. In a repeat of the awards sweep in 2011, EGO claimed six, count
them, six awards at the 85th South Eastern Regional Conference in Birmingham, Alabama. Ecstatic ---
Grateful --- Overjoyed are just a few adjectives to describe the mood of the EGO sorors that night. Just think,
we won 60 per cent of the awards for which we applied. It still hasn’t quite sunk in yet. Of course, the reality
hit Soror Wilma Ruffin first as she enthusiastically made her way on stage to accept each award. It was indeed
a fantastic conference for EGO! Many kudos goes to Soror Cheryl R. Davis who spearheaded the EGO awards
effort this year. An additional shout out goes to those committees that implemented… Continued on page 3
