The Multi-tasking Membership Committee is working
                                                    SMARTER, not HARDER! 

Sorors of the Reactivations and Transfers sub-committee worked
in conjunction with the Mentor/Mentee Connection
subcommittee on dual events scheduled for an hour prior to our
monthly EGO Chapter on Saturday, April 8, 2017.

Two separate rooms were used to implement two different
entities. The Chat & Chew Breakfast with the Basileus, and the
Mentor/Mentee Connection events were both held upstairs in the

Dawson Building on the campus of AAMU.
Thirteen Sorors participated in the Chat & Chew
event, and twenty-one Sorors were invited from
the current Reactivations and Transfers list.

The welcome was given by Soror Wilma Ruffin
          – Basileus, with introductions by Soror Tonya
Wood – Membership Chair. A wonderful
breakfast casserole, fruit, Danishes and juices
                                                   were
                                                  served
                                                    as
                                                  Sorors
                                                    got
acquainted with the Basileus, and discussed current chapter targets.
Soror Shirley Clemons discussed our 1Million Backpack Initiative,
and everyone shared during an ice breaker moderated by Soror
Sonya Dillard. They shared their most recent experiences, and most
coveted “Bucket List” items. As you can imagine, our members
were quite thrilled to hear that visiting Hawaii was on several
people’s lists of things to do. Maybe there is a possible group trip
to Hawaii in our foreseeable future!
