Watoto Children’s Choir

Saturday, April 8th, Target I - One Million
Backpacks Campaign Committee of Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Epsilon
Gamma Omega Chapter donated 30
backpacks to the Watoto Children's Choir.
The choir performed in Huntsville, AL at
First Missionary Baptist Church as a stop
on their six month U.S. tour.

EGO's Target I collaborated with the other
Program Initiatives, Targets II, III, IV and
V, to make sure each backpack had a
healthy snack, seasonal wrap, recycling
information and global literature.

Watoto rescues and cares for orphaned and vulnerable
children of Uganda. Watoto also supports and
empowers women.

The Watoto Children’s Choir, a group of 18 orphans

from Uganda, currently on a U.S. tour featuring a new
concert, "Signs & Wonders." The concert features
worship songs that share the stories of the children
and the hope they have because of God’s love.
