Spelling Bee 2022
At the start of February the Spelling Bee Final competition took place in the school hall for most of our year groups. Our final- ists were asked to spell a broad selection of words with a varying degree of difficul- ty. Well done to all who participated es- pecially the finalists and congratulations to the Spelling Bee champions. A huge thank you to our Year 5 House Captains who helped to call out the words for the different year groups. Overall, the children did fantastically well! The purpose of this competition is to help children improve their spelling, increase their vocabulary and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives.

U11 Basketball at Riverside
Excellent tournament! Seeing all the students happily enjoying sports again, visiting another school and parents com-
ing along was a great treat! After such a long absence our Y5 and Y6 students joined the U11 Basketball tournament organized by Riverside School. The boys and the girls played six brilliant matches against River- side and PBIS.
“We won our first match 10–2 and the second one 6–2. We worked well as a team, we passed to each other and encouraged one another. Most importantly we really enjoyed ourselves and we learned how important it is to defend and attack.” Tobias 6E

Winter Wonderland Competition
Children chose a wide range of different art techniques and media to create 2D or 3D artwork. It was extremely hard to choose the best creations. We would like to say
