here comes a time in a man’s life where he has to re-evaluate his actions.
Well, this is one of those times for me. Here I am avoiding the mother of
my child when, in theory, Cassie hasn’t done anything to me. All of my
previous concerns are still valid objections, but I realize I don’t have to treat her like
a nuisance.
We cannot be successful co-parents if we can’t stand each other. Cassie has her
own faults -like the way she acted at Sanya’s house two weeks ago. She was rude for
no reason. I had to take some time and try to sit in a woman’s shoes. How would I
feel if I weren’t myself and Cassie started hanging out with some new guy at work?
I would be pissed.
Sanya and I do see each other six mornings a week to work out, and we have
fun talking to each other during that time. That is a lot of time to spend with
someone your significant other doesn’t know; however, we don’t speak at work,
talk on the phone, or have ever sent each other a text outside of an occasional “I’m
here” or “Where are you?” I have remained completely faithful to Cassie. Hell, I
even leave my phone unlocked and unattended a lot so she can peruse at her
convenience.
I must admit, we haven’t had sex in a couple of months. I just haven’t been
feeling it. It has nothing to do with her pregnancy. She still looks damn good
pregnant. Plus, she doesn’t let me forget because she usually walks around the
house practically naked. I have even admired her toned body and praised her about
the effort she puts into continuing to go to pregnancy yoga and Pilates. I just don’t
