Mulawarman / Mulawarman Inscription
Tulisan sebanyak 12 baris pada Prasasti Mulawarman I
dipahat di sisi depan dengan ukuran tinggi 124 cm, lebar
31,5 cm, dan tebal 29,5 cm. Huruf yang dipahat memiliki
ukuran panjang 9,5 - 2 cm dan lebar 4-0,4 cm. Prasasti
ini berisi silsilah Raja Mulawarman. Disebutkan pula
bahwa Mulawarman telah mengadakan upacara
selamatan yang dinamakan bahusuwarnnakam (“emas
amat banyak”). Sebagai tanda peringatan selamatan
tersebut, tugu batu (Yupa) ini didirikan oleh para
brahmana.
The Mulawarman I inscription has 12 lines carved
on the front side. The stone measures about 124
cm high, 31.5 cm wide, and 29.5 cm thick. The
carved characters range from about 9.5–2 cm in
height and 4–0.4 cm in width. The text records
the genealogy of King Mulawarman. It also
mentions a thanksgiving ceremony called
bahusuwarnnakam (“abundant gold”). As a
memorial to this ceremony, this stone pillar
(yupa) was erected by the brahmins.
