                                                          Abstract :

Food security is one of the important aspects in efforts to realize the
sovereignty and independence of a nation in order to ensure the availability
of sufficient food for the community to live healthy, active and productive
lives sustainably, both in terms of quantity and nutritional quality. Nutritional
problems as an outcome of the food security and nutritional security
situation are still very serious. Several factors of the food crisis are caused
by Global Warming, Covid-19, and the interest of young people in
agriculture. The development of agricultural infrastructure is a positive
solution in maintaining and supporting sustainable food security. The
development of agriculture, namely the use of natural energy sources that
can reduce air pollution and also the use of renewable energy. One of them
is solar energy. In this study, researchers created a prototype of a Solar
Power Plant (PLTS) using mini solar panels as a small simulation of the
actual PLTS in a hydroponic water installation system. This study was
conducted to determine how much current, voltage, and power are
generated by the Solar Panel. The current and voltage measurement test
on the PLTS prototype, researchers took data for 2 days and with a period
                        of 5 hours, namely at 11.00, 12.00, 13.00, 14.00, and 15.00. The data taken
were the results of measuring the Current and Voltage on the Solar Panel
using a Multimeter. The results of the study showed that the average panel
voltage and current when measured without a load were an average voltage
of 12.32 Volts and an average current of 0.045 A. While with a load, the
average voltage was 12.6 Volts and an average current of 0.042 A. The
average power generated by the solar panel in two days when the condition
                        was without a load was 0.55434 W.
