Marge is really happy with her welcome page which
borrows heavily from the format of the demo site. Her old
Site Builder site always had a photo of Buxton Crescent (a
grade 1 listed building in the centre of the town) as the
welcome page which always felt a bit impersonal to her.
She has been able to retain that photo at the top of the
page for the people who were used to it being there but
she has now added a latest notices section. She has been
able to put events in there in time order using a method
which was sorted out for her by her mentors. Marge also
likes the photo of a few of the members enjoying a talk at
their monthly meeting as well as a Gutenslider of photos
in a few of her groups. She thinks it really helps to make
the pages more interesting.

Graeme has a few things he likes about the SiteWorks
features used on his new site. One is the Gallery on the
Committee page but the colourful ‘Five Miles and a Cup of
Tea’ group page with the Posts is attractive as well.
Several of the group pages use Query Loops to good
effect including the General Meeting page.

Chesterfield https://chesterfield.u3asite.uk/
Mark likes the way he has modified the page template by
adding (yellow) colour, moving the site’s name and ‘u3a’
to the left had side and removing the hyperlink underlines.
He thinks it makes the site look cleaner and more eye
catching. He has also added a ‘Web Updates’ page so
users can see easily the latest additions/changes to the
website.
