Rekha Jha has been multi-talented and academically bright since her
childhood. In primary school itself she received an academic scholarship
from the Government. She has partaken in a variety of different fields,
and has shone brightly at the top in all of them. She went upto state level
championship through the Sangam Kala Manch, completed her Civil
Defence course with four trainings (communication, fire fighting, first aid,
special warden course) and topped in all, did a course on fashion designing
from Society for Self Employment and a beauty culture course from Oriflame.
Besides these, she obtained her degrees, BA (Political Science), MA (Political
Science) and B.Ed in first division from the University of Delhi.
Since the past 10 years, she has been thinking of innovative ways of
putting her various degrees to use and has been doing her bit in
social work in her own small ways. In 2018, Titiksha Public School
was kind enough to offer her the job of an Assistant Teacher. From
there she began her journey of self growth and enhanced her skills,
as she made new connections and joined new ventures.
Several platforms gave Rekha a voice, an opportunity to hone her
writing and speaking skills. Some of the organizations she has
volunteered with are World Hope Foundation, Anon Global
Foundation, NaariTV, Mahodari, DCOWE, Indian Working
Women and Winning Stree. She collaborated with Anon Global
Foundation to assist in workshops on topics such as good
touch bad touch, stress management, anger management,
career counseling and parent counseling in her school.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, a lot of things came to a
halt. However, none of these organisations stopped their good
work. They planned relief campaigns for Covid as well as
online sessions on social media. Rekha collaborated and
helped in all these new ventures. Since the past 2 months,
she has been regularly posting her videos online and going
live to talk about topics such as "How to be happy and
positive", "Bachpan", "How to start your day", "How to fight
Covid 19", "Superstition", "Parda", "Women Empowerment",
"Domestic Violence" etc. She has also been engaged in a talk
series with World Hope Foundation, for their venture Anna Rasoi
through Indian Special News and CSR in which she talks about
'How to save environment", "Health, happiness and mindfulness",
"Covid 19", "Hunger and Poverty", "Public Health Safety". Her
special focus has been on making her friends and family aware
about various health regulations and precautions related to
Covid 19, especially those suggested by the government, as she
believes this is the need of the hour. She had recently been
nominated for "Salaam Shakti", a national level award by Salaam
Namaste Community Radio for her unique work story.
Rekha believes that all problems in the world can be sorted by
calmly thinking and talking them through. She believes that
especially in these difficult times, it is all the more important for
us to be there for each other, to support each other and to be a

safe space for people. As a trained pranic healer, her belief is
that meditation is the route to healthy and positive living. She is
looking for new opportunities every day, because she wants to
do her bit for the world.
