     Veg Samosas
                                               Served with a tomato chutney
                                          Make the samosa pastry
                                             Preparation time approx. 10 minutes
           Ingredients required:                                                Equipment required:
          •   ½ tsp caraway seeds                                               • Mixing bowl
           Pantry Ingredients required:
          •   220g plain flour               •   120ml lukewarm water
          •   50ml vegetable oil/            •   ¾ tsp salt
              rapeseed oil
          1. Add the flour, caraway seeds and salt into a mixing bowl and mix with
             your hands to combine. Then make a well in the centre of the flour and
             pour the oil into it. Using your fingertips combine the oil into the flour until
             it makes a breadcrumb like texture.
          2. Once this has been done add in the water and mix together using your
             hands until it forms a rough and sticky like dough.
          3. When the dough has formed turn it out onto a lightly floured chopping
             board and knead for 10 minutes until completely smooth. Once kneaded
             place back in the mixing bowl and cover with a damp tea towel to rest/
             prove for 30 minutes. While this is resting, continue with your next task,
             making the samosa filling.
