Last Day of Operations Saturday, September 16th

NORTH FULTON -- It’s official! Saturday, September 16th, was
the final day of operations at Sandy Springs and what a
difference 9 miles makes! In case you haven’t heard, we have a
new home in North Fulton. The new center, located in
Alpharetta and replacing Sandy Springs, formally opened their
doors to customers on Tuesday, September 19th.

The relocation is made possible by an agreement between the
Fulton County Board of Commissioners and the State of Georgia.
DDS Commissioner Spencer R. Moore said about the new center:
“This is a great example of two governments coming together for
the betterment of the community. An extra benefit for our
customers is that this location also is home to a Fulton County
Tag Office. It will be an ultimate convenience for customers to
handle both DDS and vehicle registration business during the
same visit. This is a deluxe center that our driver examiners and
customers will enjoy for many years to come.”

Quick Facts about the New Alpharetta Center

Located at 11575 Maxwell Road, Alpharetta, 30009.

Hours of Operation: Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.
m. until 6:30 p.m.; Saturday 7:30 a.m. until Noon.

Provides Full-service including license and ID Card
issuance, renewal, reinstatement, knowledge testing and
road tests (appointment only).

Increased from 17 to 21 customer service counters.

12 Touch Screen knowledge testing machines.

12 Tech Deck Computers for Customer Applications and
Documentation.

Plenty of free parking.

Seating for over 100 customers!
