Aging & Driving Symposium

Lotherone Grier, Regulatory Compli-
ance, Medical Review Unit Manager,
participated in a Virtual Aging and
Driving Symposium on 5/19/2022
sponsored by the Georgia Depart-
ment of Public Health’s Older Driver
Task Force.

Lotherone presented on the Medical
Review process for all drivers. There
were several other presenters to in-
clude: Driver Rehabilitation presented
by the Shepherd Center, as well as an
introduction to Clinicians guide to
assessing and counseling older drivers
which was presented by the American
Occupational Therapy association.

Savannah Assistant Manager Charisse LeGrand earned a “Safe
Driving Award” from the Georgia Department of Administra-
tive Services for citizen compliments she received through the
State’s DriverCheck “Report My Driving” Alert system
