CPS Focus Groups
An important part of the Communication Plan for CPS is to utilize focus groups to
provide feedback on the new Photo Interim/Receipt and the new process of marking
the existing DL or ID cards. Group One was made up of business partners from
Enterprise Rent a Car, SunTrust Bank, Social Security Administration and the Georgia
Hospital Association. It was conducted by Governmental Affairs and Communications
Director Shevondah Leslie and Project Analyst Isaac Brown. The group was very
receptive to the new procedures. They offered some valid concerns over the ability to
fake or forge the photo Interim. However, it was noted that today’s Interim has been
duplicated even though it is printed on secure paper.
The second Focus Group was comprised of Law Enforcement. It was as equally
productive meeting with them offering several suggestions from the enforcement point
of view. There may be a minor change in regards to the language on the Photo Interim,
but there will be no major changes to our initial draft.
