Karen Hill

Business Analyst

Karen transferred to the IT Support Helpdesk as a Business Analyst in July, 2021. She assists customers with questions
about their online services, online accounts, password resets, and monitors emails to resolve technical issues regarding
online issuance. She also assists customer service centers with technical issues involving day to day operations and es-
calates tickets to resolve operational issues. I am so excited to be here, and I’m looking forward to learning new things.

Tell us about your family?

I’m originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. My husband and I decided to relocate our family to Georgia. I was a stay a home mom
for many years raising four wonderful children; a daughter who is currently attending college and 3 sons who are active
military, 2 are in the US Navy & and the youngest is in the Airforce. Also, we have 4 beautiful grandchildren.

Where did you work prior to transferring to IT?

I started with DDS in April of 2003 as a CDL Examiner in Jackson conducting road tests for commercial applicants. I trans-
ferred to the Field Support Help Desk in 2004 to the PDPS/CDLIS/SPEXS Helpdesk. In this role, I worked closely with ex-
aminers and customers as well as variety of agencies including AAMVA & TSA to fix driver records and to resolve customer
conflicts and escalations.

What hobbies or interests do you enjoy away from the office?

Growing up in Cincinnati, I was raised watching sports and worked down at Riverfront Stadium that gave me a chance to
watch some of greats play baseball and football when I was a teenager. Today, we do all things Ohio in our house because
you got to support the home team, right? We gather as a family to watch the football games. We watch it all, from the Ohio
State Buckeyes to the Cincinnati Bearcats, the Reds & Bengals. We also support the local teams her in Georgia as well. We
are so happy the Atlanta Braves won the World Series!!

I been singing most my life, so I love to sing! I’ll sing you a good morning and if you say something that pulls on something
from my memory banks, I will sing you a song!
