I was so terrified! So were the other
young migrants. We knew, traffickers
had no heart for anyone. This was
business!
The trafficker noticed we were all scared
and very worried! So, he said with a
smile on his face, “Don’t worry! We are
not as bad as the other traffickers.
Besides, I know your friend who gave you
my contact. If you cannot pay, we can
arrange for you to get in touch with your
people anywhere! We will stay with you.
Once we receive our money, we shall put
you on a boat. And off you sail.”
But no amount of words could cheer us
up!
