gardening for birds

It’s mid-autumn and all the colourful, dynamic migrants have

left. Gone are the cuckoos, bee-eaters, swallows and swifts.
Hullo to the loyal littlies which have stayed behind to entertain
    us.

We can give our full attention to the variety of magnificent small species; these
now take centre stage of the beauty pageant. Surely, we haven’t overlooked these
spectacular creatures. We have more time now to study in minute detail Vio-
let-eared and Black-faced Waxbills, Red-billed Firefinches and Marico Sunbirds.
Close up photographs give us the opportunity of studying their fine details and
    exquisite colouring.

To attract these birds to your garden, make sure you always have water and bird-
seed out for them. Also ensure you have a variety of aloes in your garden which
will provide nectar. Truly Nature is so beautiful in such small dimensions and
    all-powerful in other giant ways.
