Dear Colleagues,
I am honored to have this opportunity and write to all of you in this newsletter edition!

Despite these challenging times I am delighted to see that Sakura has kept growing, becoming more and more a key stakeholder in
the histopathology domain. Our market position is strong and our financial indicators are solid. I’m also glad to see that this
unprecedented historical period is coming with positive effects. Markets have started a transformation journey where they are re-
thinking their economic models, their procurement sources and their supply chain and sales strategies. Sustainability, technologies,
talents, localization are now, more than ever, the keys to be successful in the post-Covid future!

Finance is no different! Technologies, talents, localization is where we are looking at, right here right now! We are in a process of
transforming the finance organization from central to local and from manual to automated. For that we are hiring new talents and
adopting new technologies. In January Jan Franken started as Tax Specialist and on April 1st Anna Marz was hired as Sr. Financial
Accountant for the Central Region. In the South Region, Joel Padonou will be starting in June as Financial Accountant for France.
As far as Oracle is concerned, we decided to implement APRO, an Oracle application which replaces Elvy and automates the
Purchase-to-Pay process to the full extent. Also, we are talking with banks to interface their systems with ours and automate the
treasury processes by operating directly from our internal banking platform. This is an ambitious step up which will reshape our way
of working towards the Total Finance Automation! I want also to take the chance to thank you all for the great job done so far and
please remember that the Finance team is always here to support you!
