Introduction

In a world where climate change is clearly experienced by everyone, large pieces of rainforests
disappear, animal species become endangered and different ethnicities and cultures have
become polarized. We believe there is a bright side growing stronger, everywhere, each day. A
bright side where new products do not harm the environment but respect nature. Where
people are supporting causes greater than themselves. Where communities stand up for
diversity and understand that we all must act as one to play this infinite game called life.

In the corporate world, this is expressed as Sustainability and Social Responsibility. It is a topic
that companies and people can no longer ignore. Inside Sakura Finetek Europe, the facility
department has been focussing on sustainability for some time now. In the last five years, we
have achieved many milestones, such as installation of solar panels, LED lightning and sensor
water taps. We also promote healthy choices, such as making fruit baskets available in the office,
implementing salad days, and more recently, sharing healthy lunch recipes. Additionally, we
have been constantly working on zero food waste in our restaurant, and we buy from locals and
green-focused vendors.

Regardless of our success so far, we still have a major achievement we want to pursue: creating
a collective consciousness around sustainability. We want to be a good example for other
departments and inspire colleagues to be aware of the impact of their actions and eventually
start acting as well. Ultimately, the Facility department foresees Sakura creating services and
products that are sustainable for us, our customers and the world.

This report is divided into different sections. We start with a short introduction of the company,
followed by the achievements of the Facility department. Next, we briefly introduce the
Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Then, we detail our strategy on how to
further grow in sustainability within the Facility department. And finally, we share how we
dream the entire company creating and serving our customers in a greener way.

With this report we hope to present a clear overview of where we stand for sustainability from
the Facility perspective. We aim to inspire, transform and create.
