United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), launched by the United Nations in 2015, are an
excellent vehicle for small and big companies driving this change. They crafted goals and an
action plan for the planet and society to thrive by 2030.
The SDGs provide a great vision and guideline to create a better world together with other
players in the supply chain, our competitors of companies or even individuals.
The complete SDGs have 17 goals in total and 169 targets. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable
Development provides a global blueprint for dignity, peace and prosperity for people and the
planet, now and in the future. A few years into the Agenda, we see how civil society, private
sector, and governments are translating this shared vision into national development plans and
strategies.
Considering the size of this document the SDGs can be found in full in the appendix. There we will highlight the goals
which are relevant for the facility department.

are used, we believe that our department has an important role to play - from developing a
realistic plan to implementing sustainability practices. We take into consideration the United
Nations Global Agenda in most of our actions.
