 Enhance zero-waste mindset by visually sharing our performance and updates,
especially in the restaurant area. Educate employees on eco-friendly behaviours, and
how to make positive, green changes.

 Participate in sustainable community actions:
o Collect trash/plastic out of canals and use the collected waste to produce new
merchandize or products which support a sustainable purpose.
o Check out what local clinics, universities are doing and how we can help.
Support related causes: cancer awareness – related to Sakura’s mission and vision.

 Implement eco-roofs - use plants as a technology to help bring natural cooling, improve
air quality by filtering out harmful pollutants, dust, and allergens. Plants absorb the sun’s
rays and use them to grow rather than letting them break down the waterproofing
underneath. E.g.: Green roofs also absorb up to 75% of rainwater, which significantly reduces the
problems caused by both acid rain and puddles forming and freezing on the waterproofing surface. Green
roofs can increase the life of the waterproof membrane saving money on repairs, replacement and making
the whole roof a more sustainable investment.

 Minimize use of plastic directly in our everyday activities. Also, take indirectly actions by
partnering with other companies to find solutions around this topic. This way finds out
more sustainable alternatives for our plastic consume.
Make sure we know what happens with the plastic we give to recycling companies.
Additionally, we could create a secondary market for waste materials that cannot be
minimized. Companies we can partner with: Bidfood, Suez.

 Harvest rainwater for toilet flushing: this is the quickest and easiest way to reduce water
consumption and become more efficient. Harvesting rainwater leads to using less
freshwater thus lowering the water bills.

 Study possibilities to build a green parking lot - this parking lot provides opportunities to
infiltrate storm water. These technologies help to remove pollutants and replenish
groundwater resources. When properly installed and maintained, they can last for over
20 years. By significantly reducing run-off and improving water quality, the need for a
conventional storm water management system is also reduced. This results in cost
savings.

 Incorporate efficient travelling - Study possibilities in turning business traveling green
and efficient. Add it to company's business plan.

Social responsibility

 Stimulate implementation of green days: a day to work from home, use public
transportation, set up a 5-minute timer for shower, check if your reusable bags are
handy, look up and plan some plant-based meals, unplug.

 Add more plants and green walls in the office and common areas, especially in the
relaxation areas - encouraging self-care and mental health.
