Sustainable Development Goals by United Nations
The descriptions of these goals are taken straight from the UN website. The goals marked with
our logo are the ones that are most related to what Facility department has already
implemented. To get a complete overview of the goals please visit:

GOAL 1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere
Non-discrimination. Recruit, train and employ local community members, including
those living in poverty, and integrate them in your value chain (as producers, suppliers,
distributors, vendors).
GOAL 2: Zero Hunger
Achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
Waste less food and support local farmers. Double the agricultural productivity and
incomes of small-scale food producers, in particular women, indigenous peoples, family
farmers, pastoralists and fishers, including through secure and equal access to land,
other productive resources and inputs, knowledge, financial services, markets and
opportunities for value addition and non-farm employment.
GOAL 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
Maintaining high standards of building safety and indoor air quality, provide safe and
healthy indoor environments where people work, play, and live.
GOAL 4: Quality education
Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities
for all. Substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including
technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship.
GOAL 5: Gender equality
Assure sufficient participation of women – 30% or greater – in decision-making and
governance at all levels and across all business areas. Achieve gender equality and
empower all women and girls. Enhance the use of enabling technology, in particular
information and communications technology, to promote the empowerment of women.
GOAL 6: Clean water and sanitation
Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. Improve water
quality by reducing pollution, eliminating dumping and minimizing release of hazardous
chemicals and materials, halving the proportion of untreated wastewater and substantially
increasing recycling and safe reuse globally.
