P. 12
Why is a deposit required?
Historically a deposit was added and formed part of the development licence process. The purpose of the deposit was to cover any damage created to company property as a result of the development works being undertaken by the applicant’s trades personnel and delivery companies, which is different from wear and tear. The deposit was refundable unlike the development licence fee.
THE NEXT AGM WILL BE HELD ON 25TH OCTOBER 2023 AT EAST PRESTON & KINGSTON VILLAGE HALL.
All fully paid-up members will receive an invitation nearer the time, but please keep the date free.
KEEPING IN TOUCH
The company will be removing the need to collect the additional deposit from members as any damage to company property is covered within the scope of the development licence agreement whereby costs to the applicant will only be incurred if damage to company property is sustained. In future, a single development licence fee proportional to the development being undertaken will only be required by an applicant developing their property.
